So I am driving my AOD and suddenly the pedal feels softer than it usually is (I can get the pedal to the floor much more easily). Then, when I am in first and floor it, it seems to accelerate like it usually does (kinda bucks) but gives up at 2500 rpm and then shifts into second. There are no codes and no engine mods. What do u guys think? I have a MSD coil on there and I replaced the spark plugs 2 months ago with Autolites. Ford Racing Wires (dont know how long they have been on there). Dont know how old the fuel filter is, I will check that right now. Thanks for the help in advance

By the way, in neutral the car revs like it always did, all the way to 5000rpm.

Check your fluid levels. I had this same issue with shifting and it was super low on fluid. On long since the last change?

Hm...When was the last time the transmission was flushed? Get er' flushed and make sure the filter gets changed and it should help a load, if for nothing else than to take care of the car and know its been done.

Well the tranny was rebuilt 15,000 miles ago due to a slipping OD band... so I hope that they replaced the filter while they were at it.

Depends. Every transmission shop around my town is a joke. If the linkage comes off, they'll charge you labor on a rebuild. This is how they make money.
