Ok, there is a weird smell comming from my car. It smells similar to burnt rubber or plastic. Reminds me of the days when I was torching my GIJOE men...

It seems to be comming from the back of the car and I've been smelling it for a few days now. Any body have any ideas? It's possibe I just got something on the exhaust etc and it's smelling I guess, but it's starting to worry me. It's a fairly strong odor, I can smell it when I'm sitting in the car stuck on Interstate traffic.

I looked under it as well as I could without jacking it up.

I just wanted to ask if anybody had any clue if a particular fluid or other part had this smell when screwing up.

Thanks!

My magnaflow catback has melted a good half inch into each side of my gas tank is everything adjusted right on your exhaust? I'd probly jack er up one of these days and take a look just to be safe. But hopefully someone knows something that I dont.

this happened tome last week. There was a burnt plastic smell coming from my car and I got really scared, but it turned out to be a damn plastic bag that got caught and melted onto bottom of my exhaust.

Good luck with that, I wouldn't be too worried though, cuz my problem has been with me since day one, the stupid things keep coming loose. But I am switching out the bolts when I put in the headers this weekend. It has been a slow process and hasn't changed since the first week, kinda carved a grove and then sat still ...

Chek the rear end seal too. Mine was leaking fluid all over the place and it was getting sprayed onto the exhaust.. I couldn't figure out where that smell was coming from until I looked under there and saw fluid sprayed everywhere.

Bullit - You gained only 11 rwhp from full exhaust, T/A, U/D pulleys, and all that?

Yep, that's what the dyno told me (that is before Driveshaft and T/A so there might be more there). I think my car is in desperate need of a tune..

I was pissed when I got the dyno sheets back, but was very happy when I took her to the track, so I could give a crap about the dyno's now..
