now that my Mustang isn't a 20,000+ mile a year daily driver, I thought I'd go ahead and get 17x10.5s for the rear...since I have nearly new BFG Super Sport A/S on the front so I was thinking of getting BFG 315/35x17 drag radials for the rear to keep the look and relative size of the tires consistent. BUT I've heard that you shouldn't leave the BFG drag radial sitting for long periods of time with the weight of the car on them...

Is any basis of fact in that? Will I be OK with the BFG DRs on a car that is only driven on occasional weekends and may be parked in the garage for a few weeks at at time?

For a few weeks at a time with the tires properly inflated you should have no problems...for a few months then that's when you should get the weight off the tires... especially with a soft rubber compounfld like that....

Im in no way a tire expert, im just talking from experience I've had before...hope that helps

When i first joined the Air Force, I left my first car (not a mustang) to sit in my parents back garage for almost a year with out driving it. It had normal daily driver tires on it...

You wanna talk about flat spots, holy chit. They balanced out after driving it around for a week or so, but when I first got in it, it felt like i was driving with square tires. LOL.

id put jack stands under it if your not drivin for a couple weeks those are soft i work at discount tire and have people come in with those wanting them balanced cuz they have been sittin on the car and they are way out of round
