I just got my weld draglites with 4.5 BS and I tried to bolt them up tonight but the axle studs are too short, is that normal? I guess I need longer studs? any imput?

I agree with these guys.

Weld has specific lug nuts that must be used with those wheels.

I would try either Jegs or Summit Racing and get the correct ones.

It is a good idea to upgrade your studs anyways. A racing set from moroso or arp are much strnger then the standard stud you have in your axle. I upgraded and installed longer studs. As already stated you do need a different style lug nut. The weld rims actually sit on the shaft of the lug nuts not the studs.

Yep, exactly what he said. I believe the studs are supposed to protrude through the wheel about a 1/2" in order to be NHRA legal. The stock studs actually sit about 1/16" - 1/8" below the face of the wheel.
