I am thinking of buying a set of 15x10.5 weld prostars wraped in 315-50-15 Nitto DRs off of a local guy. He said they are custom made by Wells, a company that advertises in MM&FF. They have a 5.5 inch backspacing.

Is the backspacing going to give me huge problems. I guess the wheels will stick out about an inch. Will this give be problems on hard launches at the track? Right now my suspension is stock, with Upper and Lower control arms waiting to be installed. And I am not putting out any big HP numbers.

Should I test fit them before I buy them?
or
Just forget about them right now because they wont work correctly?

I would not think so stock. quite a bit of fender gap. it would give me pause if you wanted to lower it.

I would definatly test fit them though. Just be like I want them but I have to throw them on and launch the car one time. I would not think the guy would have a problem with this if you have cash in hand and will buy them if they dont' rub.

with that wide of a rim its going ti stick out quite a ways. also thats too much tire for how much power you have. i got my BFG's 275/50/15 and im launch at 5000rpms with 32psi in the tire and it still bogges a little. believe me there is such a thing as too much traction.(did i just say that)
