well bought the MAC h pipe =crappy quality

YOu mean the diamond shaped piece of metal around the flanges that the two bolts go through to ehold it? I have never seen these welded to the pipe. I have seen them wedged there or held on by some kind of coating though.

I wouldn't worry about it.

The flanges on my h-pipe are not welded like you said, but the ones on my headers are.

Yeah, did you buy it new or used?

I have never had a problem with Mac exhaust products. Neither has my friend nor the one that just ordered a Prochamber (be here on Monday for use to put on):D

MAC, BBK, etc ... hit or miss. Sometimes they suck, sometimes they're fine. What you pay for with the expensive stuff like Bassani is consistently good quality. I once bought a BBK O/R pipe for my '95, and the way it was bent, it would have had to go -through- the floorpan. Needless to say I chucked it and went with something else... :)

Hey man, it isn't for me...just the guy you raced in the 98 silver gt (John)...he is going to do it piece by piece.

Don't expect anything performance wise from me anytime soon...I'm broker than broke :bang:

Lol...that'll do it :nice:

Nope, not yet...I'm still working on that...I got another semester or so left and I'll be done there and then I can transfer to the "big college."I hope I run into you in town sometime...I want to see what your 4:30'd geared car has got :D John was telling me that he got you off the line (you were spinning he said or something) and then he missed second and you blew past him :) That sounds familiar, like when I first got my 2000 and you had your 5.0L you killed me :nonono:

Oh and Matt got 11.4 at C-ville after he added a King Cobra clutch/Pro 5.0 shifter and he just runs a Prochamber/dumped flows with 17in. chrome cobra r's...I don't know how he does it. Although I drove his brothers 5.0L better than him. 3mph faster... :spot:

ALL have broken welds!what s***!What kind of gains from this prehistric creature?does anyone have MAC h pipe dyno tests or know where to find some? :bang: :damnit: :fuss: :notnice: :nonono:

Prehistory creature? MAC makes some decent products. For your information it is supposed to be like that. It makes lining up the header bolts with the H-Pipe easier. Why don't you try and contact MAC first with your problem instead of looking like a dumbass on the forums.

Mine were the same way yours were. They are meant to be that way. So leave them.
