Well when I first bought the car , it was throwing codes. Didnt think anything of it. Well now my car was bogging down a little and gas mileage is horrible. So , i dug around and found my old ass ford code scanner 79-93 models. Well it was throwing code 224 and 998 , 224 = problem in distributorless ignition system in coil 1, 2 , 3 , or 4 I take it as bad coil packs , and code 998 is engine operationg in safe mode. No wonder why i'm gettin 16-14 miles to the gallon and the engine bogging so bad.i know its not the wires because I just replaced them with spark plugs too , so its gotta be the coil packs. So , off to the autoparts store.
