Well I finally pulled the trigger!! 2010 GT!

Well after a lot of negotiation and what not, I took home my 2010 GT!
Its black with a charcoal and the only extra features are halogen lamps, the security system, and the 19" Premium painted wheels.

I wanted to get a track pack, however the dealer could not find any with the above features and color.

But any way, I am ecstatic about it!!

The difference in handling, power, and overall feel is like night and day compared to my friends V6!

A neighbor that lives down the street has a Camaro SS... Were already looking for some abandoned road,

Congratulations!! I just got my 2010 a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure you'll love yours as much as I love mine!

You mean you got the HID lights, right? For whatever reason the security system is required with the HIDs.

I've also got the HID and 19" wheel combo. The painted 19's are my favorite of the wheels offered.

I changed the bulbs on the driving lights to Sylvania Silverstars. They look MUCH better with the HIDs because they're less yellow and match the headlights better.

You'll have to let us know the results of your Camaro shootout. I testdrove three Camaros before buying my Mustang GT FWIW

How much of a discount did you get?
My dealer isn't wanting to come down much on a new GT.

The dealers "should" be discounting the 2010's by a bunch now that the 2011's are soon to be on lots. The trick is to wait long enough to maximize your rebate but not so long as to have "THE" car you want sold. Close to invoice plus the $3k in Ford rebates seems to be pretty standard pricing now.

I agree with STANGMOLE...the prices of the 2010 GTs should be very negotiable...with the 2011 410HP GTs coming down the road a lot of interested buyers are waiting for the significant increase in HP (which should have happened a few years back and not waiting for the Bowtie Guys to up the ante first)...it would seem that the dealers will be pushing hard to get rid of their 2010 GTs.

Congrats on the '10! Black is definitely my favorite color on the 2010's. My cousin bought a '10 with the 3.73's and 19's a couple weeks a go. Had the chance to drive it last weekend and I must say i was really impressed. Now, how about some pics?!
