with a 91' subaru Justy 3cyl. 5spd.... while my mustang is really down and nowhere near running right.

ok here it is... the car runs fine except it idle rough and it pretty much stall while idling if I don't hold it. what kinda problems would this be from, I'm gonna do a tune up, PCV and fuel filter and see if that helps...

I know it's not ford buthey, cars in general are the same and most other boards suck in my opinion.

It could, of course, be any number of things. Maybe look on Alldata for service bulletins if it's a common problem they might provide an easy solution. Maybe there's a dead cat in the intake?

haha. my buddy had one of those. It would constantly bog off idle. He was always messing with the timing and idle on the friggin thing never figured it out. Ended up just raising the idle till he junked it.

What is your idle at now? Can you get away with just raising the idle slightly?

well I'm put the idle up to about 1000, but if I start to throttle it abit it like to stick at1,500-sometimes 2000rpm. it runs fine asomewhat fien any other time. the exhuast though sounds liek it's putting but the engine sounds fine. could it be a damaged cat make a car run like this?
