While buffing and polishing the 02 I found it easier to remove the four bolts in the trunk and remove the rear wing. Once I had the part in my hand I could hear water sloshing around inside the wing.
If my dad still owned his shop I would have an easy solution. I would drill a small hole in either end and force air through the wing to dry it out. After the wing dried I would repair and repaint the tiny holes drilled.
At the moment I am curious as to where and how the water got inside the wing to begin with. I am also at a bit of a loss without a shop at my disposal as how to drain and dry the inside of the wing. I certainly don't want to drill holes that are visable and will allow more water inside.
It is also a good idea to find the source of the leak in order to seal it.
