A large part of me agrees. Buy what would happen to the economy and related suppliers if that happened? would others do down also?

auction

They would all be auctioned off for pennies on the dollar and the unions would lose the grip they have over business and govt. The new owners could build parts and cars for thousands less with better quality and crush the competition. Then the unions would reestablish themselves with more realistic compensation packages. This whole process would be slow and painful, but necessary. In the end we would all be better off for generations to come. Instead we are saddling our children with debts that could never be paid without massive taxation sucking the life out of prosperity.

ooofa. I certainly hope all are ok. If y'all will permit me to be on the lighter side, it appears to be a 5 mph collision as far as GM quality is concerned.

I've seen one driving by a Chevy dealership but didn't stop. The exterior looks pretty good.

My buddy works for a major performance parts company and they just recently got a SS in to develop a supercharger package for it. He said the interior is crap and after sitting in mine, he felt like it was comparing the Camaro to a BMW or Mercedes. He also says the thing drives like a tank, and is way too heavy. Despite having so much power, he said it is actually tough to break the tires loose. Either way, an optioned out SS is just as expensive (MSRP) as the GT500. I think Chevy came close, but missed the mark a bit on this one.

I have not gone out of my way to see the Camaro. I've soured on GM due to my '82 Firebird. Even if GM quality has improved i can't seem to get out of my mind the memory of cheap plastic, knobs breaking off, electrical shorts, transmission problems, rear end problems, and power windows not working while I'm in a hairy neighborhood. A lot of people have soured on GM based on prior experience - despite purported improvement in quality.

Man, that sounds like you are describing my 2006 Mustang. Have you had to replace the seat back release lever yet when it breaks (speaking of cheap plastic knobs)? I have, it's fu*kin' $40! I also had to replace the rear end due to gear noise. Or how 'bout the felt scratching the window tint or the defective strut mounts or even the front passenger side water leak? This is no memory, this is living in the present! Make no mistake I still love my GT, lets just not be hypocritical.

So, yeah, I'll be giving GM another shot by buying a Camaro further down the road.

Fortunate enough to get a little personal time with the Black Edition car back in January- I like the car alot - will have one some day. Although I didn't shoot the interior as I was without my super wide - it wasn't all that bad.

Saw a red one parked at costco yesterday and had to park next to it and check it out. Wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be. It was ok, made my mustang look all angular and boxy sitting next to it. It's very curvy. A couple walked up to me checking it out, I thought it was their ride. They were just checking it out also. Me and the husband were talking about classic camaros and the wife remarks to me "I don't like it, I like your mustang better."

I don't like the rear at all. The rest of it is OK, but I prefer my Mustang (a 2007).
