Sup guys, tonight I went to the track. Got to use the NT555R's...I really love these. I can accually hit 2nd gear without spinning lol.
These are my top 3 runs

3rd
60 Foot - 1.990
1/8 - 8.724 @ 81.06
1/4 - 13.533 @ 102.77

2nd
60 Foot - 2.092
1/8 - 8.73 @ 81.93mph
1/4 - 13.507 @ 103.28

Best Run
60 - 1.934
1/8 - 8.629 @ 81.45
1/4 - 13.408 @ 103.10

.009 from cracking a 13.3. I was very very impressed with my times. And the NT555R's were at 30psi. I could have dropped them to like 26psi but I didnt want to have more "rolling resistence"

I didnt get any videos, no one came up with me. I should have done like 2 more runs, my trap speed was picking up, but I didnt want to kill the tires.

Also, I put to much gas in, I had just over a 1/2 tank. By the end of the night, it was just under a 1/2...

Nice times with the new rubber!

I would lower the pressure even more. The rolling resistance at a lower psi will not cost you et on the top end. 60 ft is the key for ET. I think with your gears and your driving skills, you can go 13.1x's with a low 1.8 short time.

Thanks guys, and yea I got a bunch of 13.5's with 35psi I didnt realised I had them that high, so I dropped them down to 30psi, got a low 13.5, then the 13.4..almost a 13.3

Whats a good tire pressure so it wont hurt me on the trap? My dad lost about 1.25mph in his Mach 1 when he dropped them down from 26psi to 16psi. Its like driving with 2 flats lol. But if it was a DR with a thicker sidewall then I would drop them to around 16psi.

A lot of factors go in to the top end speed. Sometimes, a with a lower 60ft, you will lose trap speed, even though your ET will improve. If your dad was having some wheel spin at 26psi, that could also be a reason why his mph was faster. Ive seen it go both way, so it's hard to say, but I would doubt that 26-16psi would result in that much mph difference alone

I would run try running them at 18-20psi. Generally, every .1 you increase your 60ft, you should gain another .15-.20 in ET, as seen in your "best run"vs"3rd run".

I ran 13.19 at 104.71mph with a mid 1.8 60ft, in my 1998gt. I was running 264rwhp, and had 3.73 gears. I ran my nitto 555r drag radials(275/40/17) at 16psi.

if you think the nittos are "hooking" you need to get some mickey et streets, there is no comparison, none at all... i hate spinning, thus i have mickeys..

The mickey DRs are awesome. Those Nittos are awesome for his power level, they should hold that thing forever.

OP Those are very good numbers. Try lowering the pressure in about 3-4 lb increments until it finds a sweet spot.. Run 2-3 passes per pressure change and then move on. Log our progress in a small notebook.

Im really hoping I can find 2 16" rims for my NT555Rs. Bought them with Nissan rims, but wont fit. And this upcoming Wednesday, and then theres one more Wednesday and thats it. Closed til April
