i went to byron dragway today.. weather was kinda cold.. my tires are pretty bald and because of weather, i took easy ot the tree so my 60's are not that good. i was like a chicken at tree, i couldnt laucnh my car the way i wanted too.. i prefered to bog the car instead of spinning cuz bogging gives me better 60'. so, i ran 4 times today and i didnt spin of the line at all except one run. i went to track to get 13.5s but i am back with very dissapointing 13.7

here are my time slips.. and my car is stone stock to air filter..

first Run.. ( crappy 60' but ET is ok)

What happened to your mph on the 2nd run...hit the brakes just before the lights????

I'd like to get out SOON and baseline mine with just the Flows. Closest 2 tracks to me are just 1/8 mile though...closest 1/4 mile is over an hour away.

KOOLDAW: on my second run, i would have trap over 100+mph too but i wanted to try 4th gear and see if i would get some more mph but didnt work..

PRO MOD: thanks man.. i insist, i can do low 13s easily with just DRs..

you should be happy i live in canada elevation 3773 ft i dyno 412 and run 13.76

you would have had a 13.5 easy on that second run if you did not try 4th..

So concensus is to stay with third? What about the stock rev limiter. It hits around 100 in third doesn't it? I have not hit it myself but my brother said mine (when I let him drive it) hit 100 when the limiter shut the engine down.

i trapped almost 103mph as u see up there and i didnt hit limiter and i stayed on 3rd!

Maybe when he looked down it had already slowed down a little or maybe he just told me an estimate.

What is the rpm's of the car at that speed? And what gears are you running? Also if you have a tune it might have reprogrammed the stock limiter?

I've hit 107 in third gear and didn't hit the rev limiter. I ran a 13.27 @ 107.24 and just stayed in 3rd gear till i hit the traps. I don't have a scanner so I can't get the time slip up just yet (my roommate has a scanner but he isn't here right now).

Stay in third the whole time, you wont hit the limiter...if memory serves me correctly, I thought I read that the cut-off for third was 110mph...
