Rich(12sec67) have decided recently not to buy the shop we were working at, and to open our own. We're pretty known around here, and you guys have a pretty good idea of what we can do. So we were hoping you guys could spread the word to anybody you might know that needs work or parts. We've got a book of the work we've done from MII front ends to the AJE kit we just installed, floorboards and stock repairs. And you guys know we like to race as well. This has been our dream since we were 17 and it's finally coming true. Wish us luck.

That's great news. Hope it works out. You're about to find out, though, that no boss can push you as hard as you will push yourself.

better stock on ramen noodles and macaroni and cheese now too, because you'll be eating a lot of it and not much else for a long time. i had to get another full time job just to keep my detail shop open and even that wasn't enough and eventually i had to shut it down, there were a lot of factors that caused it but the main one was that my partner, who is also my little brother, had to move back to austin for his probation which was a total bunch of BS but there wasn't anything we could do about it. that was a long time ago and we had both worked really hard to get that shop off the ground so be prepared to be in debt and broker than you've ever been before for a good long time and also be prepared for the worst, just in case.

Good luck, i hope you guys make a killing at it.

Classic Mustangs is still there. They moved a little north on Industrial just past Alan Taylors shop. But they don't do the kind of work you guys do.

I'm interested in the name and address of your shop too.

WOW !! haha, might help huh ? We're in Santee. 10039 prospect Ave 92071...We're right off the 67. It's called CPR. Classic Performace and Repair. We've got a few guys now like us. They had never taken their car to a shop before, but had seen us at the track an stopped by.
Thanx for the good words guys.
Bnickel, I like all that. It's already scary because we haven't billed much in the week we've been open. But we have had 2 big jobs come in in two days. A cage and mini tubs to begin. Then finish a car for a guy that has been sitting for a while. I like rice, but don't wanna eat it forever.

If any of you guys want to meet up at any of the car shows around town (ESC, La Mesa, El Cajon...) we can talk stangnet , BS and hang out

What kinda work do they do ?

Have you ever gone to Mustang Auto ? I see your avatar and it remind me of a guy that came in a few times. Said he was putting an 03 drivetrain in his 67. The last time I talked to him he was putting in a MII.

Classic Mustangs does basic restorations and maybe a simple 5 spd conversion but none of the custom or performance stuff that I've seen you do. They do have a good inventory of parts on hand.

I've never been to Mustang Auto mostly because I do all of the work on my cars myself. That may change on the 67 because I still haven't finished the 2 65s. I am interested in the AJE front end but it looks more geared towards drag racing than road racing. If you guys plan to sell parts as well as do the work I'll stop by sometime. I'll probably be at Crusin Grand tomorrow too.

Congrats guys, my buddies started just a smog and small repair shop in Colfax CA, and they are still eating Mac & Cheese, along with the 49 cent Taco bell burritos, granted they've only been open now for a couple of months. You guys will be rolling in the dough, doing what you love soon enough and that's what's important

we are going down to the local 1/8 mile strip to BBQ and race if anyone wants to stop by and say hello or just watch the race. Dustin's hoping to get his car done to go beat up on the trailer queens.
