hehe, bet you guys were expecting a nice list of performance mods and a dyno sheet, but unfortunately, i'm all stock except for a k&n filter and flowmaster mufflers .

anyhow, what are the shiftpoints i should be aiming for? thanks.

I think its around 5200-5400 for stock motors. Im not sure about each gear but I think 1-2 is 5350

EDIT: But I could be completely wrong. I have the tach from a 4.6 in my car.

Shift no higher than 5200 rpm in any gear.

As stock as you are, you really aren't making much past 5000 RPM- maybe 5spd cars are different, but in stock configuration like yours my AODE doesn't like much past 5100. It really runs out of steam past that.

AODE and T5 are 2 different worlds. Trust me on this one.

Yep, keep it at 5200. But if you are at the track, you still need to experiment some to fine tune it. It's also better to shift a tad early than too late. You over shift by 300-500 rpm and you'll easily loose 1/2sec.

i never tested this on the track but since i got my t5 swap done I never shift above 5000 to 5200, after 5000 its like hitting a wall, then again my tach might be retarded but this number falls in line with what the other posters are saying
