before i restored my car, called several mustang shops in different states to ask about susp, 99% told me to stay basically stock with a few improvements, lower control arms, koni shocks, poly bushings, sway bars, monte carlo bars, so i did and im 70% okay with that, but i was wondering is any body out there trying any later updates and how are they doing, i mainly street drive, and go to shows maybe 1/4 mile track once in a while, but im just wondering is air ride or tcp or coil overs really any better cosidering price and also gettin somebody to do it u can trust , just some thoughts:SNSign: :bang:    :bang: oh also talked to a guy that installed air ride susp cant keep front tires on it, and hes a real pro? also i have comp crossmember, mpg export brace, 17:torq wheels,

You have a good start! I'd add an export brace (the heavy duty one from Scott Drake, or equivalent) and a performance alignment (see 2BaV8's webpage, go to the Granada Brake Conversion page and scroll down) to complement your other mods. If you want a dramatic difference, add roller spring perches from Opentracker. Also consider subframe connectors and a little bit of front spring drop (that is, if you haven't already added the 1" lowering springs) for a lower center of gravity. Also, a good set of tires and rims are key for getting your money's worth from the other modifications you already have. It doesn't take much to get a lot better handling!

Although the high-dollar mods like tubular upper and lower control arms or coil-overs will improve your handling, too, I think you will do fine sticking with improving the stock suspension like you are doing. For the street, the handling difference of stock vs. coil-overs (technically, the stock suspension is a coil-over, too ;) ) isn't as great as the price would lead you to believe.

Shelby drop with stock upper control arm
1" front sway bar
ORP Roller Spring Perches
Strut rods with heim joint
Global West Lower upper control arm
KYB shocks
Monte Carlo Bar
Export Brace
and of course, wide rims with sticky tires.
I recommend a 15" or 16" rim that 8" wide.

Huge and very impressive results will come from that parts list.
