In your opinion what are the loudest best sounding axel backs out on the market for Mustang GT? I am considering strongly the SLP Loudmouths and the Flowmasters. I am not planning on using an X pipe, just the axel backs to change the sound.

Thanks a ton,

JT

If you want loud SLP! They are insanely loud. Not my taste, but I see why people like it. I would go with the Loudmouth II if they offer it for the 05s. Its the same as the loudmouth I, but the inside was rework to eliminate some raspiness. Sounds a lot cleaner, and the difference in volume is almost the same.

The Loudmouth II'2 are technically the SLP powerflo's. I don't think the LMs are insanely loud, which is why I'm adding an O/R h-pipe. Obviously, exhaust is all preference. And mine is that the flowmasters are bad and the SLPs are orgasmic.

Just cut off the mufflers and put on some nice tips. That's what I did.. Sounds really nice, but definitely not quiet.

Loudmouths are very nice. Not too bad at idle, they scream at WOT. Also a plus is the lack of drone since they are not a chambered muffler. The FRRP or Borlas also sound awesome. Very deep idle and sound SICK at WOT, minus is some nasty drone in lower 2K on tach while part throttle. I myself will be putting Loudmouths on mine. I was always a flow guy, they are not that deep or aggressive on the S197(no offense flow owners just my.02).
