What are these?

Doing the resto job on my 69 Mach 1.
After the steering column comes through the firewall ("A" in the photo) it looks like there is supposed to be a boot or something there on the lower part. If not, what color are those collars and the extending steering column supposed to be painted?
Also, item "B": what is that yellow part, a bushing/roller of some kind? and what does it connect to? The original I have has a very slight flattening worn onto about 1/4 of the diameter. Is it still usable, or should I replace it?

Not sure about A, but B is where the Z-bar for the clutch connects to and the other
side of it connects to a ball stud on the engine block. You would only use this if you are using a manuel transmission.

A is a seal/bushing and they are not available in repro so don't F that one up when you remove it, color should be natural plastic and the color of the column should match the interior color of the column which is charcoal metallic
