What are you doing to your mustang?

What setup are you going for your GT/Cobra?

I spent some money on basic bolt-ons, but now I've spent about $900 on chrome and stainless steel stuff for my engine bay. I've never done that before. I just spent money on performance mods only with the other Mustangs I owned. But I must say, the engine looks kick butt.

One of the points that i'm trying to get through is most people buy mustangs/camaros for drag racing, also every other car enthusist/ricer/owner believes mustangs are for drag racing and shouldn't be a handling type car. Yet I see alot of people on here getting 'sport' suspension (mainly springs)

your a sly dog aren't you tricking us into joining your suspension modding posse. :p

I would say Tom that MOST people want a daily driver, however the stang is a good platform for the drags and CAN be a good platform for the twisties

won't ja be my neigbhor droppy? :)

myponyrocks - I already know that, and mostly everyone on here can't really afford an all out 100% 'race' car and that almost everyones car is a DD. Just wanna see the direction people are going with the suspension setups

My last car was an 2001 Mineral grey delux Gt and it carved corners. Bilstein Hd's all around with Steeda Sports Poly spring isolators, X2 balljoints,off-set A arms,Aluminum off-set steering rack bushings,Steeda cm strut brace,Cobra sway bars front and rear with poly D bushings,Steeda caster/camber plates,2000 Cobra R's on Nitto nt555's. C&L 80 mm air mass, plenum spacer,70 mm t.b.,Magnaflow 2.5 catted X pipe with welded in magnaflow mufflers,Steeda underdrive pullies,Superchip,160 deg T stat,Steeda tri ax,adjustable clutch cable, firewall adjuster, and hardcore quadrant,Autopower 4 point cage,Steeda cm sub frames

My 2004 silver premium Gt sports a Centerforce II 70 mm t.b. Steeda Cai. Awating install is my Magnaflow X, Steeda tri ax,Jba 1 1/2 shorties,Powerslot/hawk combo for the rear,Steeda strut brace. I want to make this car an all arounder just most of you guys,it is my daily driver for now but as it becomes paid off and older I want to make it a drag car with something like a 5.4 2v with a kb 2.2 pushing as much boost as possible and then some :hail2:

I must say I'm really torn between Drag Racing and Corner Carving.

One day, I'll wake up and dream about 14" brakes and 6 piston calipers, spending a few grands on Coilovers and a Panhard Bar / Torque Arm setup to get my car to handle like it's on rails. That would definitely shut up a few of my friends that think Mustangs CAN'T handle.

The next day, I'm removing my front sway bar to save 10lbs and gain a little weight transfer at launch...

If that means anything, I spend a lot more time at my local 1/4 mile track than at lapping events.

I really don't know...
