My BBK chrome intake is looking weak from rust, time, etc. and I never liked the size of the filter. It came with my car.
What does everyone like out there? I know JLT has a kit for Terminators that everyone likes, do they make one for Foxes?
What looks good and gives good performance together? Underhood? Fender?

There's a MAC CAI on my car. It looks good to me, but I recently bought the car with it already on & the car wasn't driven in bad weather.

Gotta be fenderwell. An underhood is the opposite of a "cai" and just sucks in hot underhood air. The stock airbox works great. The only aftermarket "cai" that's worth spending money on is an Anderson power pipe.

I've read good things about the mac fenderwell cai
but then again i've read you can't beat the factory setup if you remove the silencer and add a good air filter.

The main reason to run a CAI (from my perspective) is underhood cleanliness. It just looks better than the big rubber hose connected to the big airbox. You might see some performance gains w/ the in-fender kit, but thats primarily from reducing the turbulence the air generates in the factory airbox.

With that said, I had a BBK CAI in my previous '89 (similar to the MAC) and I liked it. The next one I get, I'm gonna powdercoat black though.

Exactly.

If you are not going to use an anderson.
Just put a panel filter in the stock box.

I've always heard the BBK was the top-rated cai for the 5.0. Matter of fact, I DID notice some gains going from the stock panel filter to the BBK cai. As far as looks go, ANYTHING new will look better than an old rusty intake pipe.
