Well I would want to consider getting a different intake.. There are many better matched intakes out there then you are planning to run that will perform much better for your car.. I also think custom is the best way to go as I know you have to pay a little extra but there are worth it and aren't much more then other cams.

With a custom cam I don't see why with a good chassis and driver you couldn't dip into the 11's

Yep...go with a custom cam...

The prices (as stated) aren't much higher...take Ed Curtis (FTI) for example...his HR cams are $325...now compare that to the price of an alphabet cam ($160-$200) your paying roughly $125 more but for better driveability/power/customer service...worth it IMO...
