Ok, my engine block and intake are painted aliminum color. I have aluminum heads. and the rest of the brackets and upper intake are black. What color should I paint my headers? I was planning on aluminum color but I was thinking should I do a color that stands out? Give me you input on what might look cool.

Umm, I dont think any paint will hold up to the temperature headers see. Those things can get well over 1000 degrees at WOT. I would get them ceramic coated.

Anything but chrome or ceramic will be short lived. I had my headers glowing red in my garage once by simply holding the revs at 3000rpms for about 5 mins.

That seems like a lot of work for something you will be ripping out down the road anyway. Maybe you should just polish something?

DO NOT paint them. I painted mine black with 1200 degree paint and it didn't last 1 min. It all flaked off and now there is a white powdery residue they keeps coming off of them and getting everywhere. I even sand blasted them which helps bond the paint. I was pissed.

Use the VHT header paint! Mine still looks perfect after 250 miles, except for the scratches I put on it during the install.

Mike beat me to it. You want to use VHT's paint if you want to paint them. They look great time after time you run it.
