OK So my car is getting Repainted Laser Red. The interior was white with black accents. I now have black seats in it.

Previous owner changed the white top to tan :::GAG:::

I have this really bad urge to get a canvas top color matched to the laser red. I know it may sound excessive. But dont BMW's and other cars these days color match their tops?

Anyways wheres a good place to find a quality top? I Def am going Canvas....

I will be having this top professionally installed at a shop thats been around for 60 years. All they do is tops.

So Red Color Match??? Mirrors will be red too....And the car will get Chrome offset rims. I just thing the red would look badass.

I would ask the upholstery shop to show you some samples of red canvas tops.

I bought a top from these guys a few years ago and the installer was impressed with the quality for the price. They also show the colors available. The burgundy or ruby might look okay.

Toyman - That link is where im looking to buy my top. The place is about 30 min away from me so i may just take a drive down there with a paint sample on a card and see what i get.

Hollywoodstang -i would never ever put anything but a canvas top on there.

I like the black canvas tops, the little shop I take mine too, another Mustang owner changed his to black canvas and it's also laser red! WOW very sharp looking. When I replaced mine I went black Poly Sailcloth (orginal material) and while it's nice, it's nothing like the canvas. BTW both of us ordered tops off E-Bay.

+1

A black canvas top from an '03 cobra would look slick with laser red. I'd be leery about colour matching, its a cool idea but I'd imagine it would be impossible to get it exact and having it a little off would look wierd imho

I have seen what you are talking about, and I don't think it would look good on a mustang. If it was me I would just get a black top and tint the windows really dark. That really looks good on verts.

Yep and for vinyl vs canvas... i chose vinyl again... I didnt want to deal with the extra work of a canvas top... cleaning it just seems like a bitch...

Plus i found the top... window... cables.... and pads... for $100

I'm thinking bad idea too. I think it would be too much. Go for black. Can't go wrong!
