My friends getting a 92 5.0 LX and currently it has a CHP 347 with forged pistons, I-beam rods, and a cast crank, and no main support. It has Edelbrock RPM heads and intake. I dont know what cam, exhaust, valve size, injectors, or throttle body. He wants to put a supercharger on it and I suggested 6-8 lbs because its safe and because the engine doesnt have a main support or forged crank. I also suggested Highport heads because I dont think the RPM intake is designed for strokers, let alone a blown stroker. The highports have larger chambers to get the comp down since I'm sure this engine is like 10to1 since its an N/A setup from CHP. Also the highports have larger intake and exhaust ports more suited for racing a 347. I'm not sure what his budget is and I know either combo will make great power with a supercharger. Should he just leave the engine alone and run the blower or should he go with different heads more suited for larger engines. Remember the comp is probably high. Also, what kind of power could he expect with a 6-8 lb supercharger on an RPM or highport headed chp 347. I want this combination to be reasonable since its a stock block so nothing over 550 at the flywheel. Thanks again
