I just finished swapping the intake on my 96 GT since Ford was kind enough to screw me on the whole cracked intake manifold fiasco. But that sob story is for another thread.
The swap went smoothly (intalled an all-plastic intake out of a 98) but it still isn't running right. I was having bogging, stumbling problems below 3,000 RPM after the swap and noticed half of the spark plugs were submerged by the coolant leak. After cleaning out the spark plug access holes and replacing the plugs, the problem is 90% solved. Now I only get stumbling and an occasional back fire if the car is at lower RPM (+/- 1,000 RPM).
I'm going to look for a potential vacuum leak tonight, but is there anything else I should be looking for as the cause of this?
