When its not warm outside, the engine starts and idles ok most of the time, but when you start to drive it falls on its face, it did once when i was stoped getting ready to turn a corner.

My dad says its a problem with the choke, he hasnt we havent had time to look for it yet, his guess its an electronic problem.

Any more ideas?

...instead you have an IAC (Idle Air Control), this is mounted on the side of your Throttle body. I would unplug it from the harness, remove it from the throttle body and clean it out with contact cleaner, spray inside liberally get all the black crap out, sometimes they stick.
While doing this, remove the negative from the battery, let it sit like this at least a half hour. Let the computer lose it's memory and then when you hook up the IAC, hook up the negative and run the car let it learn everything again.
If that's not it, then I'd check the EGR (search). There's a number of little things it could be...but nothing hard, these cars are pretty simple. Got a manual? Can you run codes?
Do some searching for key words and you'll get her fixed in no time.
Just rambling...it could be the 02 sensor, vacuum leak, clogged cats, need a tuneup, just wants some loving.
