This cocky @$$hole at school has a 1998 Bonneville SSEi, the supercharged one, and brags because his car can beat mine... what do I need to beat him?

I have... a 1998 GT 5 speed. Right now it has BBK Cold Air Intake, underdrive pulley and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I plan on knocking out all 6 cats w/ an O/R H-Pipe and i'm also getting 3.73 gears to replace the awwffffulllll 2.73's. Do I need anyting else to beat him quartermile? If so... whats the most bang for buck by means of horsepower...

Thanks

Ah yes, my arch nemesis bonneville, well, you don't need much since their 0-60 is around 6.9-7secs, and they are heavier, you really have nothing to worry about, you should beat him stock but I woud unrestrict your exhaust, I would accually go for the 4.10's to start off, but how much are you willing to spend?

More then likely, hes just like you said and is cocky since his is s/c from the factory. If youve got the money, Id definately get the gears put in .
From there you can go in any direction you want. If you dont have to worry about emissions, I dont see what would be wrong with taking out all the cats .
Let us know how it goes!

If you stay stock, I would be a little careful -- I don't think you would skunk him with a major lead. If he's dinked around with mods of his own (i.e. supercharger pulley for more psi)

I guess his car would be like the gr. prix gtp then?

I'd like to see this race though...

I don't think the owner is cocky because he has a modded bonneville... I bet he's cocky because he dosn't know any better. Whip his butt man! Get the bolt ons to make it look worse. Then steal his girl and give him a mushroom stamp.

Don't take a chance, just throw gears and a cheap H or X pipe.

i think he said he is bragging because he has beat him. if you are needing rear tires soon. opt for a set of nitto 555r drag radials from discount tire direct for about $250 + another $50 for mounting & some 4.10's from gene evans ford for about $135.00 & install should be around $200-$300 with some redline gear oil. thats about $650-$700 total & you will walk him from a light or a roll.
if you got more than money to blow than that you might want to consider a ported & polished PI headswap then it wont matter if he has all the bolt-ons for the bonneville.

hey poxic i saw your from gladstone........i am from belton.

poxic have you been to kcir?
if so do you have times showing any gain without spoiler vs with spoiler?
i heard you gain almost a tenth without spoiler but i would like to get facts instead of hearsay.
