What do I need to swap a 351w for a 302?

I am not sure about the brackets themselves, but pretty much everything else will swap fine.
When you start talking about brackets, some change engine to engine, some change car to car, or even within models.
Your water pump, pulleys, and probably alternator are a direct swap.
If you have power steering or A/C, it might get a little tricky.

I swapped from a 302 to 351c in a Maverick and only had to add a spacer to the PS bracket. So it was extremely easy. Correct oil pan, headers, and distributor is all I needed over and above the engine itself.

Your radiator will probably have to be changed. If you have headers, they will probably have to be changed as well. The 351w is a taller motor so if you have to watch what air filters you use.

I understand that you are probably refering to cooling abilities...
However if you use the original water pump, the 351w will work with the rad.
Now, weither or not it will do a good job of cooling is another consideration.

water pump is going to help that

Ya, if you can use that original style water pump that will help with accesories on that side (power stearing area). Also take a look at the timing chain cover to see if that needs to switch over also. I needed to use my old timing cover for the oil dipstick and water pump for the brackets when I put a late model 351W in my lil 66.

Got intake? (That is wider isn't it?)

Still working on getting a Toyota truck radiator to work with my 351W (yes, I am cheap - looking for a FOMOCO stencil to slap on top of it.) . . . I can't really say if it's massive 3 row power is gonna work. Guy before me put a 80's jeep style radiator in it - nice and big + 3 rows. . . but does all that count if you don't open up the radiator support to allow air flow to the other 1/3 of the radiator? I am guessing maybe not so much! (plus the tranny spigots are blocked as they are in the bottom surface)
