.... it, in the center of the grill that has the Ford logo? (or running pony on the Cobra)
Grill plaque? Grill center? Logo plaque? Grill logo? Other? As I'm thinking grill insert comes to mind, but I think that's the bit one orders when doing the GT to Cobra grill swap.
I need to know what to Google. I want one that instead of Ford, says "FoxBody" Currently, I don't have one at all.

A bit of truly trivial trivia: Whatever one calls it, the one for the GT is a good bit bit bigger than the one for the LX. After the accident the doner car (GT) didn't have one, so when I went to put the one off my LX in the indentation, it was like throwing a pebble in the Grand Canyon.

Not sure I've seen a 'Fox Body' emblem.
But the fox racing logo comes to mind. Find a sticker version you like and stick it on the ford oval, maybe?

Of course if you do ,
you well get to explain why your pony is dressed up with a fox.
Over and over...

Emblem did indeed take me down the correct path. However, I couldn't find one that said "FoxBody" on it.
I've always liked the chin spoiler of the Cobra and the GT. However, I hate the solid grill of the GT. After the wreck, I thought long and hard about cutting the grill out of my old LX bumper cover and putting it somehow in the GT nose, but I was real uneasy about where I was going to make my cut lines.
So I formed a new battle plan... I got a Cobra grill insert from CJ Pony. (unpainted) It has a chrome running pony grill emblem with it, for under $50. I just hope it gets here on time for my brother's show Saturday. But if it don't, there's always next year.
If you're in Zaesville Ohio Saturday, stop by off Military road behind the funeral home.

So, just to be clear, you are putting a GT nose on your LX?

You may be too far into the project, but generally I would recommend against this. The main issue is that the trim/molding line on the GT is thicker than the LX. This makes for a pretty obvious mismatch between the trim along the car unless you switch over to the entire GT body kit and door moldings.

There are other options for the LX in terms of having a different front valence.

The Saleen air dam does attach to the LX bumper and gives a similar look.

You can also look at this from wings west. I don't know if they are in business anymore, their website is FUBAR. But, this does allow for an LX to have a GT nose while retaining the trim line. I don't know much about wings west or their quality. Cervini's I have personal experience with and think they make a good product.

Here is a picture of what I am talking about (regarding the mismatch) - The GT extensions are also required up front.

91TwilightGT, Oh that little job was done years ago! The first time we got hit. An uninsured motorist who couldn't wait to get into the cigarette store, turned left in front of us. I knew a guy who had a GT that he pulled the motor and trans for Mustang II drag race project he was working on. He wanted rid of what was left and let it go for $300. I took what I wanted and sold the remainder for $300 to someone else who needed a doner car!

Okay, just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into

The Cobra insert is pretty easy to install, and it should look fine with your car. Good luck!

Major body work is not my groove! Engine work, Ok, depending on how major. But the older I get, the less I'm willing to do.

Yes pretty easy. Cut the prescribed hole, double sided tape and you are all set (obviously painting to match before taping in place).

Wait, Tape? I was of the impression this would have at least a couple screws. Tape makes me nervous.
