i just noticed the specs on the G8 GT.

361HP 385TQ

I think it's a sharp looking car. A fully loaded one is $32K. Right in my price range.

Three strikes though.....RWD , V8 and it's a pontiac

(i was looking for a reliable all season commuter car)

I love it. I'm thinking about a g8 GXP. Over 400 hp, under 5 sec 0-6. RWD with traction control isn't bad in the snow.

I was seriously looking at them a couple weeks ago.
I really like the car with one exception...the interior. I know car manufacturers use a lot of plastics in interiors, but the G8 takes it to the extreme and it's a dull plastic look at that. Terrible.
Also - there is a big blind spot on the drivers side.
Other than that..nice car.

So what happened with the G35 idea?

eh, i think its an ok car, id prefer the GTO look. Ive sat in the g8 and it isnt all that comfortable. kinda feels like a rental car interior. But hey, its your car. I can think of better

It's still on the table.

I almost traded in the GT anmd leased an '08 G35x a couple weeks back..but walked away at the last second.

I'm just seeing whatelse is out there because honestly...i see 50 G35's a day.

$9500

I really don't want to deal with another RWD car again though in the snow. I live ona STEEP hill and i had hell with the Mustang this past winter just trying to move it around. I know snow tires help...but i think i just want to be dumb, get an AWD car, put snows on some crappy rims and be able to move when i need to rather than hope i don't get stuck on a small patch of snow like i frequently did last winter

Too small for me...and i'm trying to get away from the "racer" image. I need a mature vehicle to drive clients to lunch in at work.

I have a couple of friends who have them. I've seen them do well in the snow, off road, and you always have the chance to mod them with go fast parts. If I didn't have to buy another truck, I would have one.

True..they are nice cars, but they aren't "luxury" enough for me.

If i bought a subaru..i'd prob look at a Legacy GT. They are pretty sharp cars, have 243HP (260ish if i get a 3.0 R) and come with leather, NAV and sunroof

Another car i'd like to get is a Volvo S60 R....if i could find one

I'm total opposite, I love that it's a Pont, V-8 & RWD!

I'm not too sure about that. I saw quite a few new GTO's in the ditch during snow this winter.

I'm all for RWD V8's...but this will be my daily commuter. I drive 50-60 miles a day to work and have to do it in the snow as well.

An AWD option would be nice. I really love the G8 wagon, I hope wagons make a come back!
