What do you guys think of the Continental Extreme Contact tires at discount tire? I'm thinking of getting them, but I'm not sure I like the tread design. Anyone have any experience with them?

Here is the link:
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fi...rc=INFINT&tpc=CONHV8&tp=Passenger/Performance

I do not think they come in a size that fits the Mustang man... They might fit a V-6 I guess... They look ok.

I prefer Falken Ziex ZE-512s which are Consumer Reports #1 rated.

They do come in 275/40/17 and the reason I was thinking about them is because he said they would last longer than others. I was looking at the falken and nitto, but how is the treadlife on them?

No, I am just a real believer in Consumer Reports! Also, a lot of the tires recommeded here have really low treadlife ratings. Great traction yeah, but really low treadlife ratings. Its a tradeoff between long life and good traction and I think the Falkens strike a nice balance between the two.

i love my Kuhmo ASX's. 420 treadlife rating and they stick really good! granted they've only been on my car for ~300 miles, but they stick better than my previous Kuhmo 712's. all the rviews said they lasted a LONG time too.

Conti's=TEH WIN in my book... I bought mine around Jan-Feb last year. We had a little snow and ice here, so I took the 'stang out for a test drive..( Just in the cul-de-sac) It was nice..those tires ate thru that stuff like it was nothing.. Same thing in the rain. I do not fear the rain anymore... If you live where it snows more than once during the season, it'll be worth it. It hardly snows in Austin. It rains like crazy here though.. I love mine. Tread wear is fantastic.
