WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS SYSTEM??

I've heard nothing but good things about those guys and that was another option... my only problem is that they're in GA, I'm in TX.. it be very hard to trouble shoot problems or get corrections long distance.. so, I thought buying one and having a local shop put together and adjust as needed...

i wouldn't worry about that, their tune is very safe AND from what i have seen they are the type of guys to really go the extra mile if you run into any issues with the tune. but its your money.

P.S. please don't take any money out of your retirement account. that is a terrible idea. no flame intended.

that's true...but I've got over $175K in my retirement.. I don't $4-5K is going to make that much of a dent...
don't. just don't. :) save up for a few more months instead of touching that money. your 175k needs to continue growing, hopefully it'll be around 3-4 million when you retire. :)

To get 4-5k out of a retirement account, don't you have to pull like 9k and then let them eat 4k in taxes?
Be patient, save the money. You've waited this long. Wait longer. I promise it's worth the wait.

And go with T&J, then have a local place install it. If i could do it all over again, that's the way I would have done it. Their kits are so complete, it's scary. I thought I had a good deal when I got my kit... but by the time I got all the extra what have you, I could have saved over a grand going with them to begin with... just sayin'...

oh, really....but, surely that small amount won't hurt that bad??!??
well honestly its just a bad idea to touch any of your retirement money. BUT you also will have to pay taxes on the money you take out AND perhaps even some early withdrawl fees. It may be tough but you just gotta gut it out and save the money instead of touching that retirement money.

but I can take out a loan for that amount ( 4-5K) then repay it back to my retirement plan with interest, sooooo, i'm actually ahead right??? right?? right??? anyone???
good try but no. if you take out a loan from yourself you won't pay it back :)
