I'm currently trying to talk my wife into letting have this:

ProCharger Stage II P-1SC Supercharger w/Intercooler for 99-03 Mustang GT 4.6L

Price: $4,023.80

If she does, ( and that's a BIG IF) I'm planning on pulling some money out of my retirement plan to get it...

GOTO www.proficientperformance.com ..click on PROCHARGER..THEN FOLLOW LINKS TO PRO-CHARGER FOR MUSTANG GT

I've heard nothing but good things about those guys and that was another option... my only problem is that they're in GA, I'm in TX.. it be very hard to trouble shoot problems or get corrections long distance.. so, I thought buying one and having a local shop put together and adjust as needed...

i wouldn't worry about that, their tune is very safe AND from what i have seen they are the type of guys to really go the extra mile if you run into any issues with the tune. but its your money.

P.S. please don't take any money out of your retirement account. that is a terrible idea. no flame intended.

hey bro's.. i didn't take that stuff personally... i totally understand...it's just that i'm impatient and it's easier for me to take a piece of that than it is for me to try to save up for it...

don't. just don't. save up for a few more months instead of touching that money. your 175k needs to continue growing, hopefully it'll be around 3-4 million when you retire.

To get 4-5k out of a retirement account, don't you have to pull like 9k and then let them eat 4k in taxes?
Be patient, save the money. You've waited this long. Wait longer. I promise it's worth the wait.

And go with T&J, then have a local place install it. If i could do it all over again, that's the way I would have done it. Their kits are so complete, it's scary. I thought I had a good deal when I got my kit... but by the time I got all the extra what have you, I could have saved over a grand going with them to begin with... just sayin'...

well honestly its just a bad idea to touch any of your retirement money. BUT you also will have to pay taxes on the money you take out AND perhaps even some early withdrawl fees. It may be tough but you just gotta gut it out and save the money instead of touching that retirement money.
