what does "PI" mean?

i am currently getting ready to purchase my first 4.6 mod powered stang....in some classified ads and forum topics the abbreviation "PI" keeps popping up...what does that mean? police interceptor? are those good hop up parts for a 4.6 powered stang? if so there are bunches of those in the yards up here.....thanks for the help and after spending too many years and too many dollars on fox-body mustangs i'm ready for something new!!!!

i think performance increase. the pi heads come on 99-04 cars i think

yea their performance improved heads found on 99 and up gt. some people put the pi heads on older cars ( 98- down modular motors), foe performance increase.

ok thanks guys.....what should be my first mods? i have funds set aside for the usual....x-pipe, gears etc but where do i go from there?
