What Exhaust Setup to go with?

well, i'm upgrading to long tubes and an x pipe, so what kind should i get? i was goin to go with MAC L/T's 1 5/8 and a BBK off road X pipe, but i have heard that MAC l/t's only proper git MAC h pipes. is this true? if so what kinds headers should i go with, btw i'm on a tight budget.

For the least amt of assy hassle...stay with one brand for the LTs/mid-pipe...I'm pretty sure the Mac/BBK thing is a no go.....lenghts and ball/sockets fitting , etc will vary between them....

I have heard good things about the bbk longtubes. You should be happy with them.

yeah i was going to say dr. gas x as well. it has to be welded together though, but at least you know that way it will fit.

Mac makes x pipes for shorty headers. You sure they dont for longtubes?

yea mac doesn't make em for long tubes. i'm proly just go to go with the BBK headers and X pipe

mac does make an x pipe for shorties. also, bbk x pipes suck really bad. ask anyone. don't get it. dr.gas and magnaflow are two of the best. Keep in mind your future plans. If you are going with a big set-up, get longtubes, otherwise get shorties (which have a better idle). Shorties usually gives equal if not more power, especially torque, on a stock engine. Also, if you are ever going to get gt40p's, then keep that in mind.

haha it's ok man. i am def goin with long tubes...now what kind of x, i am ordering my stuff from a ford motorsport dealer. i'll see if they have the Dr. gas X or the magnaflow one
