Hey guys,
I'm about to install my MM LCA's this weekend, and MM supplies a packet of clear-looking grease to put on the polyurethane bushings for the chassis side. What type of grease do you guys use in your grease guns to re-pack them later on via the grease nipple that comes with the arms? I don't want to use the wrong stuff...
Thanks

Stephane, incorrect or not, I use Mobil 1 synthetic grease. It seems to work alright IMHO.

I'd just contact MM and ask them to be sure.

Good luck.

Thanks JT. I got a feeling almost any sort of grease will be compatible with polyurethane but I don't want to take a chance on it. I'll give MM a call now.

Ok, I just called them and he said to use the special grease made by prothane thats $28 a tube because its thicker than alot of other synthetic greases. Does anyone else use store-brand synthetic grease on these?

I used some synthetic bearing grease (the thick stuff) on my poly UCA and LCAs - all is well several months later.

The grease is purple which means better traction to the road than other colored grease.

indeed, purple is a fast color

thanks guys, I think I'll just go see what types of synthetic stuff they have at the parts store. As long as the bushings last me a couple years I'm a happy camper :SNSign:
