What impact does lowering a 99+GT have on the 60ft @ the track?

I have 2 friends with lowered GTs that can't seem to get 60fts like I do on th same days when we go. I managed 2.0 all Sat, while they managed 2.2-2.3.
The both have lowered there cars by 1.5 to 2.0 with steeda and eibach springs.

Are the cars not pulling the same 60fts most probably because they are lowered? Does anyone have feed back on this?

Lower, stiffer suspension will hurt the ability to transfer weight to the rear tires, but this is marginal on a basically stock or bolt on GT. More likely you're just a better driver.

tell them to get some drag radials and all thier problems will be solved.

mine's lowered with eibachs and i get 2.1s. not the best on street tires, but decent. that's w/o burning them or anything.

Doesn't lowering play with Caster/Camber of the tire under load? I.e. when launching?

Had Sportlines with BFG D/R's. Car would hook but the pumpkin would slam against the body. After a while i was smoking U-Joints because the pinion angle was off. Back to stock ride height: Problem Solved!
