what injectors should be used on a 347?

yet another question about my buddy's soon to be car.....dont you guys think that 24's are too small for that motor, and that he should be running at least 30's?? reason i ask is because he is like maxing out on fuel pressure right now and the car is running really rich......

i already researched about this, but he's concerned.

i know guys that are running 19# injectors fine with 320 at the wheels...

the 24#'s i have on there shouldnt be a problem,, sure she could probably benefit from 30#'s but its not a neccessity

How high are you spinning it? 24's are definatly a poor choice but i'm sure they can work. Just remember just because something works, doesn't make it right. How is your a/f? W/o knowing, you can't really say your fine.

These guys running "fine" @ 320rwhp with 19's, what is their duty cycle? What is their a/f?

im not sure what their cylce or A/F is, id have to ask him


the car was tuned at laroccas with the 24# injectors, they didnt recomend an upgrade when it was tuned,,, it was tuned with A/F so i dont think they are a problem, but who knows

the a/f was WAYYY off......it was running way too rich......

because i dont feel like running 94 octane in her all the time, its expensive enough right now. She is safely set up to run without the tune (hence why she is so rich)

What lunati cam are you running? can you post the graph? What exhaust do you have? 350rwhp is pretty low given the parts (no offense) so i'm guessing the cam is not even close to ideal and you have a poor exhaust. Theres a guy on here (ninjacoupe) with an afr 185 headed 347 with an rpm II manifold, FTI custom cam and kooks 1 3/4" longtubes and makes 390rwhp. What valve springs do you have? STock afr springs are junk as are stock trickflow springs.

the lunati cam isnt an extreme cam,, its a streetable cam basically the equivalent of an F cam or so.

the car was set up for the street, make torque, and be a fun car. Not a track car.

Can you post the graph? What is your exhaust combo? Why would you remove a working chip? I had a chip and removed it because it sucked. Hope the shop burns to the ground too Now I run a PMS and I have a wideband kit on order
