What intake for this combo, please help

Ok, I have a couple of choices: Holley Systemax heads 1.94/1.60 (most likely choice) or the AFR165's with either the E303 or the one I think I want, the Xtreme Energy XE264HR. Based on the heads and cams, what is the best intake for me? I will have a FR 65MM TB and 70MM MAS. I want low end torque with good Highway response with my AOD and 3.55. Advice.

Well if you want low end torque GT-40 style intakes are great...However, with heads such as the AFR's or Holley's you'd probably be better off with a performer intake and a nice custom cam to compansate for the low end TQ.

Go for the performer, or even the cobra would work fine for you. How about the tfs stageI cam with the afr's and the cobra intake. Or go for a custom cam with a ported cobra intake. Wayyyyyyyyyyyy to many options. Good luck.

Ok, two say performer. Is that the Performer 5.0, Performer RPM or the new Performer RPM2? If I did the Cobra would I have to have the bottom port matched?

I would get the AFR 165...the XE 264 cam...and either a HOLLEY systemax intake or a performer RPM. Also I would get 3.73s with that AOD.

If you're going to go with the performer rpm, get the new rpmII.

Well, I agree with these guys except they seemed to miss the part where you say you want good low end torque. The RPM or RPM 2 are not the best choices if that's what you're looking for, but probably the best for AFR's otherwise. So I say the Cobra or for a few extra plus (don't know if you have it already with that 65mm TB) an EGR spacer (Cobra you don't need one, already built into intake) the regular Edelbrock Performer. I don't know much about the Holley intake but remember, it was designed to run with those heads.
