What is needed to swap a 5.0L motor into a '90 T-Bird?

My friend has a LX T-Bird with a v6 motor he wants to swap in a 5.0L motor. He was told a 5.0L motor of the same year should just bolt right in, which sounds about right I think since '90 t-birds had 5.0L i think.

Anyways, a quick rundown of what's needed would be nice.. I think he's going to stick with Auto till he has enogh cash to make it a manual. Does he need to swap out the rear end as well? etc..

All the parts you need can be found in a junkyard from a 5.0 Thunderbird. I believe the intake manifold is different due to hood clearance.

My girlfriend drives a 5.0 t-bird. It has a manifold that says 5.0 ho which looks identical to the efi mustang. I didnt measure it but it is probably real close. What is definatley much different is the exhaust manifold. It is some crazy Y-pipe that forks back into an h-pipe with an inline resonator. It is _specific_ to the t-bird
