Had an old Pinto with a 460 running around town here for a while. I'd imagine it's pretty light.

I'm thinking the Mustang II's clock in at around 2800lbs in full street trim with a 302, so you figure dumping all the junk you don't need like passenger seats you can easily get rid of some quick weight

5.0L in a 240 would be fun... the 240's are great cars that unfortunately got stuck with a pos engine...

The thing is, they're so highly regarded because of their nearly even weight distribution. Put a big heavy V8 up front though and they become as useless as any other import.

that's probably why it's so popular to drop a 350 Chevy motor in since it sits back a little further it keeps the power train weight toward the middle. Don't know for sure since I don't fool with 240s or Chevies.

Miata

I hear they make a kit to drop a 302 V8 right into a Miata. The FFR Cobra kit is nice as well, but alot more $$$ than a used Miata.

Yes, but they also make kits to drop a LSX into a miata. Why waste time with a 302 that puts out 225hp when you can have a LS1 that weighs less put down 400 at the wheels with minor bolt ons.

BTW a 351 will NOT fit into a miata.

A little 302 can be had and built a lot cheaper than any LSX engine.
