97 Mustang GT. Noticed a small plastic tube pointing out directly under the wires and CAI seems to route through fender area. It is not capped off and it sppears vapors of some sort come out on a really hot day. Is it fuel? Should it be plugged or capped off or just left alone? Car seems to run fine. Note it's not the vac lines going to the charcoal canister, it's more plastic in feel and theres a few of them..but one is just sticking out more and is uncapped.

Can you add pictures of it? There's so many lines in the engine bay it's tough to say based on what you're describing.

I don't have pictures but it's right under the metal frame part of the car. CAI > Metal Frame with Wires > Under that three plastic lines, but one is uncapped and sticking further out.

I checked my 98 GT when I left for lunch; I don't see what you're asking about. I have a couple electrical connectors below the hole in the fender apron my CAI goes through, and the brake lines from the ABS system, but nothing in plastic. Maybe someone else knows.

I capped it off for now. Makes sense, as shouldn't want any vapors under the hood and it seems to run the same or better.
