what kind of control arms

hi to all, im new here. im looking for a set of control arms. i was thinking the lakewood traction action lift bars with stock uppers,or reinforced uppers. or is there a better set for a bang for your buck. i dont want to spend the money for mega-bite. i have 4cyl springs to intall still.

are the lakewood traction actions lift bars any good. or would it be better to get a upper and lower combo summit, mac. or blue oval performance.

They are very hard on your torque boxes and could cause them to tear if you don't reinforce them. I would suggest MM as well with stock uppers. www.maximummotorsports.com

i would also suggest MM control arms. Go to their site and read their description of their products and you will realize why they charge 250 for a set of lower arms. their front bushing design is where they set themselves apart. solid poly bushings (like those found in cheap control arms) have a tendency to make the rear suspension bind at the cornering limits of the car. At this point the car becomes horribly unpredictable and can come around on you without any warning. Control arms need to not only articulate up and down, and side to side...but also twist in a small degree aswell. This cannot happen as well with stiff poly bushings..which is part of the reason the stockers used softer rubber. well you can read all this for yourself and make a better decision. I just ordered a set of em for myself! good luck man

thank u mutch for all your input. i think i will go with the maximum motorsport when i get the cash. it seems like a good set up. as soon as i figure out my profile ill get it set up like the rest of yours.

srothfuss, asked an important question. I have no interest in auto-x, and I don't really care how the car handles other than stright line performance.

So I am looking at either the Mega bite jrs or the Lakewood traction action bars. I just don't know if the adjustable uppers are worth the extra money.
