My 93' 4cyl coupe is a 12 gallon tank.Fuel guage is screwed so I found out the hard way.It is getting about 30mpg...the V8 is waiting transplant.

Wow maybe I should get some gears. I drive easy everyday to North Manchester with the stock gears and I think I've managed 20 at the best. Usually it's 18 ish.

I thought our tanks were 15.7 gallons? Or is that the 94 - 98s? Anyway the best Ive been able to get is 18 with a little highway and a little in town driving.

They are 15.4 gallons... however, I have never been able to put over 12 in my tank, this is more than likely because the factory needle will say empty LONG before the gas tank is actually dry. This serves as a built in "reserve tank" function... it makes you feel like you gotta get the gas station quick when in reality you got lots of fuel left. FWI. I drove my stang for 50+ miles with the needle on E and the gas light on.

About 18 mpg city since I exorcised all the demons from my engine bay. Pretty decent, considering I'm running 4.10's, but I have to baby the thing around right now because of the glazed/slipping clutch, hence the better mileage.

According to Consumer Guide's 1996 Edition (back when they actually gave useful stats/info), the fuel tank's the same capacity for the notch, hatch, and verts: 15.4 gallons. Their average mileage findings are listed as 13-18 mpg.
