What kind of gas mileage are you getting?

I get about 10mpg in town and around 20 on the highway.

I have gotten 24mpg. Average 20-21 mpg.

Got 330miles to the tank the other day. Didn't do the math though.

In my n/a 347 which is a daily driver except for in the snow: about 18 mpg when I keep it under control and much much less when I am having fun. I drive both city and highway everyday.

I never really figured it out but I have estimated it before and I think I get around 17mpg. I took the car on a trip once and it got about 25. Not bad at all.

They are 15.4 gallons... however, I have never been able to put over 12 in my tank, this is more than likely because the factory needle will say empty LONG before the gas tank is actually dry. This serves as a built in "reserve tank" function... it makes you feel like you gotta get the gas station quick when in reality you got lots of fuel left. FWI. I drove my stang for 50+ miles with the needle on E and the gas light on.

5-6 MPG that is why I'm looking for a new daily driver this thing is killing me. I've been driving it for 3 years but now gas prices are so high. I'm just going to find something else to drive everyday.

3-5 mpg maybe a tad more if its nice out and i take it easy and don't open the secondaries on the carb.

racerraj - I'm sure that is based on just slightly different driving situations and driving styles. Maybe stuck in traffic longer, higher or lower speed. Time behind a slow/fast vehicle. Wind against you, etc

Did you only try this one tank of each. I would do more test to find out if this is "average".

So, for a student in highschool, making minimum wage...would you suggest a 5.0 car? My dad is the one with the 2000 GT, but I've gotta buy this one. I mean, I'd drive as careful as I could, and I'd get all the nessecarry bolt ons for an increase in gas mileage. But on the whole, think it would be a wise choice?

i am in college and i love my 5.0, i get about 20 or so on the freeway with basic bolt ons and stock gears with a 5 spd in my 89 GT, in san francisco i get about 12-15
