What kind of gas mileage are you getting?

on my trip from Roswell NM to CWU in Ellensburg WA two weeks ago I averaged 27mpg... hell yea! I gained about 5mpg after putting on ported (mildly) TFS heads. I assume its from a serious gain in C/R while keeping stock cam/1.6 RR's. My car was also packed full of my stuff too, dont know how much weight I had in it though. From Roswell to Las Cruces I got ~30mpg, and crossed AZ on about 3/4 of a tank... 12 gallons or something like that. But then I made the mistake of getting 89octane in Yuma... big mistake, plus the gas sucks in AZ and CA even premium... the pinging didnt go away until I got some Shell V-Power 92 in Oregon, thats real good gas, and up here in WA the premium is 92 as well, I love it, might even add a couple degrees timing sometime, I read somewhere TW's like 18 degrees or so

i knocked down 315 miles to a tank once, but it was all freeway. i had to drive my poor stang from cali to albuquerque NM. at least the w/p waited till i got back to take a ****!

racerraj - I'm sure that is based on just slightly different driving situations and driving styles. Maybe stuck in traffic longer, higher or lower speed. Time behind a slow/fast vehicle. Wind against you, etc

Did you only try this one tank of each. I would do more test to find out if this is "average".

4 tanks, same driving to and from work. The car is speed denisity, and the computer doesn't really like the cam. Part throttle drivability improved with regular. Less "sputtering". Thats most likely the reason for the increase. I'm sure a Mass Air conversion would help gas mileage as well as drivability. I should have mentioned the E-Cam/Computer issue, but I was tired when posting.

I used to get about 17 around town then I used this engine cleaner and now I get 20-21 around town. check it out, its good stuff http://www.auto-rx.com/

12-13 mpg if I'm lucky in city. Maybe 15-17 on highway

Dude i would be walking if i were you...thats about 3.5-5 mpg. why is it so low? whats done to the car?

I get about 12-16 around town...depending on where im drivin...and i get about 24 on the highway. mods in sig
