What kind of heads do i have?

I don't know anything about the heads.. all i know is that on the front, right above the headers, it says "GT" anyone know what kind of heads these are? stock e7's?

Should be some regular GT40 heads. Those will say GT and the P heads will say GTP.

you think? i wasn't so sure about it - i don't even know what's up with them. i've never taken the valve covers off - so i don't know if i've got stock rockers under there or what. the guy i bought it from was a complete n00b and i can't get in touch with the original owner of it - yeah, it's annoying, but what can you do?

or sell them for some cash, and get some edelbrock, tfs, or afrs.
Wouldnt buy the patriot heads....

Like said above, i'de port the GT40's before installing those other heads.

there where some topics on here about poor machining, junk valvetrain parts and poor customer support. I think it may have scared some away from them, kinda you get what you pay for thing.

But porting THESE heads would be MORE expensive than just buying the patriots.. plus, for 1000 to port with a valve job, i could just spend 200 more on some aluminums... i'd REALLY like to avoid spending all the money on these heads if i know i can get something better than what i've got for as cheap as possible.

Talk to grey5.0beast. He's putting on a set of patriots. Keep in mind if you choose to go this route, you will have to notch the pistons.(increasing your time and money spent) Ed Curtis of Flowtech took pics of them if you are interested
