What kind of intake is this?

Dont waste your money on a TB/Plenum save up and do gears or something worth doing. Im running stock TB/Plenum and they're working fine, plus everyone knows youd be luck to see 5hp with them just because the stockers aren't that restrictive.

Everything that came on the car stock "works just fine", that doesn't mean replacing it won't be an improvement. Even if it only gets you 5hp, that's 5hp that you wouldn't have without it. No bolt-on, save for a blower or nitrous, is going to net you high HP gains but every one will get you a little, and likely bring you some pleasure from the job you completed.

I am more then happy with my BBK 75mm TB/P combo. You'll hear how they only makes 5hp or 2hp or something like that, but at the end of the day it's worth the extra what ever it makes.

Opens up the higher revs smoother and much faster, oh and it sounds great when matted to a CAI and nice Exshuast note :nice:

And its an extra few ponnies you'll have over the people that don't have them :rlaugh:

Other than the fact you cant feel a difference. When you put a mod on you want to think you feel a difference but you can't feel 5hp. I helped a friend install a 75mm TB/Plenum and a JLT CAI and I could not feel a thing. He kept saying he could feel a whole difference and even let me drive it but I could feel nothing.

Now he spent like $600 on those mods and I spent $650 on a tuner, gears, and for the install and we raced. Guess who won? Little hint: I did. LOL

My whole point is dont waste your money on things that dont really do much for you. Do gears, exhaust (more for sound), tune, then if you want to stay NA do UD pullies, TB/Plenum, ect. If you want to gain some real power, save up and do a blower or nitrous.

top notch in looking great, but there really isn't much of a difference in any of the intakes, especially the plenum - it's basically an elbow. I'm running perfessional products polished TB+Plenum, think i got both for $225. When i find a problem, i'll let you know, lol. A guy in the local club is running 12psi through his, no problems.

I was talking about the Accufab TB, it's true all the plenum's out there are pretty much the same but everyone I know seems to be running a Accufab TB with whatever plenum they have. I opted for the C&L plenum because it was a lot cheaper than the Accufab plenum:D

Thanks for the input, guys. My first mod was for sure going to be gears anyway, followed by some wheels/tires, then exhaust. I currently have a Magnaflow catback on there, but it sounds too mellow for my liking. :p

Good choice. Just add a Mognaflow O/R X pipe and keep the Magnaflow catback and it will sound killer! Its what I run and love it, not crazy loud but people can still hear me coming a mile away when I get on it.

How would that compare to Loudmouths? :D

As for the SCT recommendation, thanks Fobra. That was going to be my question. I don't know if it would come right after the gears though. I'm not made of money, you know. :p

You'll need the tuner to recalibrate your new gears when you get them install or your shifts will be off, you can opt for a cheaper speedcal less than $100 but you're better off with the tuner. Save up until you have enough for the gears and tune kit:nice:

What else would the full tuner do for me besides calibration? If I just want calibration, I can do that for ~$100.

SCT XC2:
Fuel Adjustment
Spark Adjustment
Read / Clear OBD-II Trouble Codes
Axle Ratio Selection
MAF Meter Selection
Tire Size Selection
Fuel Injector Size Selection
Idle RPM
Cooling Fan On / Off Temperature
Disable Traction Control
Two Step On / Off RPM
Automatic Shift Control

I think the magnaflows sound better but thats my opinion, more of a crisp sound. Are you getting LM or LMII? I think the LM are the crazy loud ones. The thing is I dont like really really loud exhaust, my friends run LMs and magnapaks and they are just too loud. I can't hardly hear my radio as it is so I don't want to go any louder.
