Drone gets worse with volume. On an otherwise stock car it's insignificant. Add an o/r mid pipe and suddenly you have a whole other issue. Up the volume with a cam and you have the same issue. That was all I was trying to say.

i understand what u are saying but i guess the cam is just like anything else. Thats like saying aluminum heads will make it drone more because it will be "louder" while loudness is true to make drone worse, power mods are low on the list of what actually causes it(besides off road pipes)

You can have original flows and a straight through muffler, its obvious which will drone more on the same engine. Original flows probably drone on a stock mid pipe . And i read in another post if u find a way to cancel out the sound waves that u can eliminate drone, so then you will have a loud car without drone. I think once you have drone, making the car louder will make the drone worse, but if you dont have drone that doesnt necessarily mean that making it louder will bring drone.....like a lot of guys on hardcore50 say....."It depends......."

Regardless, I still think that the poster should reconsider Flowmasters (especially 50 series Delta Flow). Those would keep a low profile like he wants, and drone would not be an issue.

Thanks Ill look into those, do you have any sounds clips off hand besides whats on mustangexhaust.com, I want to hear them with a stock setup
