what kind of springs

on my car i got 17x9 cobra rims with 245/45/17 tires on right now. my question is what kind of lowering springs can i use to lower it. i want the top of the tire to sit level with the fender lip with out rolling the fenders. i was looking at the ford racing ones that lower it 7/8 in the front and 1/2 in the rear (or something like that) but i dont think its worth the time for what little it lowers it. i think about 1 inch all around will do the trick but i cant find any like that. and some pics would be nice.

I'd note that some of the Ford springs (like C's) seem to drop the car more than advertised.

I have the exact same wheels but run 275/40/17 rear and 255/40/17 front and I have Ford C Springs. It will give you that exact look you are describing. C Springs all the way!!!

what about the ford racing b springs or the ones from maximum motorsport. the fms springs are cheap too and i think ill go with thoes, but which ones b or c?

Go with the C's if you want better handling with a bit stiffer ride which isnt all that bad imo.

I have Bullitts on my Stang, up front it lowered it about 7/8" and out back about 3/4".

i like the way the ford racing ones sit in the front but i dont like the way it sits on the back. if i got the ford racing ones could i cut the rear springs to make it sit level.

the maxspeed springs i looked at on ebay says the lower the car 2 full inch and i dont want that.

is there other springs that will work work best from everyone experence.i was looking at maximum motorsport lowering springs and also steeda. i also found ford racing f springs on there website but they are a little expensive. i want to go with the ford racing b springs but i got to do something about the rear springs.

I know on 94-95's the Prokit drops it less than C's but I'm not sure how that equates to a fox.

I've got C springs and w/ the 16" 4-lug wheels, it had a little bit of a rake to it and looked really mean. Now w/ the 17" Cobra 5-lug wheels, I can't tell you about the spacing in the front because there's no engine in the car and there are no fenders at the moment. However, in the rear, the fit is PERFECT any lower, and I'd have to roll the fenders.

I'm a firm supporter of Eibach springs....i love'em. I've got a buddy who just got some HR springs and they put a really nice stance on his GT with 'R wheels on it...

Bullit springs on mine with 245/45/17's on all corners..

the frpp springs are great, I love them...I dont remember if they are c or b, but I've never had anyone complain about their frpp springs. I'd stick with Ford's Products, they have as many test mules and money to throw at it than a private company trying to replicate.
